First Day of College

I’m 9 weeks into my first year of college reflecting back on the first day and boy have I changed. The first week of college was weird. It was syllabus week so we didn’t really get homework assigned until Wednesday and Thursday which was cool but that’s always how syllabus week goes. I began my first day of classes with a 9AM Calc for Business course so that was fun. Realizing that I had never taken pre-calc and that my SAT scores placed me into this course was a bit scary and I thought several times about dropping the class, but didn’t. Now, I’m 9 weeks in and can proudly say that I have an A in the course. Then I went to English 101 at 11AM. That was fun. My teacher is lovely. I then had a break from 12-4PM in which I went back to my room in White Pine and took a well deserved nap. I finished my day with Intro To The Arts from 4-5:15 and Econ 101 from 5:30-6:45. Those classes aren’t the most enjoyable since they’re so late in the day but I make the most of it. I’m lucky to have just once class on Tuesday/Thursday and it’s Sociology 101 from 9:30-10:45 and it’s an enjoyable course so I go and take notes as any good student should. I highly recommend attending all of your classes every day for the semester unless you absolutely can’t go because you truly learn a lot of material in each class, each day. So far I love it here in Reno, NV and am excited to finish up my first semester in college!
